About The Artist

Dan Richards, a Texas native, is an avid freelance photographer and has been for the past 20 years.  Dan lives on the Blanco River between Wimberley and Fischer from where much of his inspiration comes, having the Texas hill country at his doorstep.

The collection of photographs contained on this website are vivid landscapes, wildlife, nature, still life, and nostalgic scenes.  To Dan, photography is personal.  His fresh, original images are guided by a sense of excitement for his work.  Dan’s reward comes when he succeeds in capturing subject, movement, mood and light.

Creative Printing Process

The photograph prints are on the AGFA MSC 10, which is archival photo paper that yields a life of 50 – 100 years.  All prints are matted on acid free paper.  At the time of the first test print, Dan analyzes the tonal graduation inherent to the original slide and manually matches density with any color correction to create the actual mood to convey in the photographs.  Each print is gold stamped with Dan’s name.
